I am hoping to enter the BE80T at Stafford on 30th March. :D I wondered if anyone had the eventing mag and if the BE80 had been balloted last year. I have just brought Tilly back into work and fingers crossed she will be able to event this year but I thought I'd maybe start on a ticket rather than fork out for membership and have something go wrong. :(
Am I right in thinking that I only pay £10 for a ticket for both of us and the entry fee??? That sounds too cheap and easy!
Do you think I'd get ballotted out if I wasn't a member?

Many thanks in advance :)

well Ive not done any of the be80 t classes but did 4 be90s towards the back end of last season (two were at VERY popular events which had balloted the year before) and got into all of those fine. Might be a sign of the times with less people doing BE although with the be80t being quite accessible im guessing they may be busier?

your best bet may be to try and see if you can volunteer andy help in any way either on another day of the competition or find a good friend to do your helping for you on the day your going to go? most places will give you a slot if you are able to provide help in any way

I think most people run in the 80 classes on a ticket and are in a similar situation to you. As above, you would probably stand a good chance by volunteering as in the early season events you might get more people who are intending to compete at Intro (and are BE registered) going for a run out over a smaller course.
