Yep holkham, have been past three years wit pony club, brill fun and wether last yr was brill, could even ride in a bikini top!! Wouldn't think it that far for you really, as we go up nearly to peterborough before goin there, I think prop takes us between 3-4 hours?? And that is just north of watford, and if def worth it horses love it!!

Holkham. Also there is a 5 mile stretch between Hunstanton and the golf course at Brancaster with an estuary to cross. Providing you check the tides carefully it is perfectly safe.

I should think Holkham is the nearest, as not that many allow horses on. I tried Southwold which only allows horses between October and March, but it was quite pebbly and still a huge number of people about with dogs etc.

So another vote for Holkham. There is a charge for parking lorries - was £10 last time I went - as the beach front area is privately owned, think it is called something like Queen Anne Drive (or some other royal name!). You have to ride through the dunes and across a large flat area, then you come to the main beach and we turned left and waited until we had left the crowds behind before we cantered.

On the way back we were able to buy a coffee before loading up. Are you going for the day or looking for somewhere to stay overnight?
