Beach walk yesterday with young Rocky
I'm trying to teach him to ignore everything that's going on around him as he can get very distracted! He currently has the attention span of a goldfish ???
He's slowly getting better. Although there is a certain amount of bribery and corruption going on!
Yesterday tested it to the limit. When we got to the beach I could hear barking but that isn't unusual. I walked down the coastal path and then onto the beach through the dunes for a change. When I finally spied the beach I was met with the usual amount of dog walkers and someone with 13 (yes THIRTEEN) dogs. Twelve off the lead and one in a pushchair. A mixture of King Charles spaniels and poodles oh and a shih Tzu. All barking furiously with a few running off and round about madly. The others did stay pretty close to the woman
Well. This'll test the young lad I thought!
But to be fair to him he carried on and ignored them with just the odd glance over. So I was pleased with him.
Further on we met a rescue beagle (overweight bless him but they'd not had him long) and he was allowed to play with him until he fell in a heap (the beagle that is not rocky he never runs out of energy ??) all out of breath!
