Now that the warm weather is here Im getting the flies spending hours circling the room, usually in front on the telly! Got spray but it doesnt seem to work,.
I used to have a bead curtain up at the back door but Mrs Spaniel is terrified of it and wont go through it without a fight. Anyone else dogs the same ?
How did you crack the problem . (food doesnt work)

I've had the JML thing for years but never erected it.
Flies don't live long and they're not doing massive harm, you could use paper or suck them up with the hoover.
I wouldn't have fly spray about the place having dogs, it's pretty noxious stuff IMO.

I have the plastic strip type fly curtain which Rufus refused to walk through at first but he soon worked out that he wasn’t going for a walk if he didn’t walk through it :)

You can get proper door type fly screens but I figured the dogs would never work that out. If you get a curtain, just encourage the dog through with food.

This is the one I got

Holland Plastics Original Brand Heavy Duty Bug Blind,Strip Blind-80cm (Standard UK door size) Complete with hooks for Plastic Frames (Select colours from drop down menu) (RED/WHITE/BLUE) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AZ0AW0I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2gM8EbA8W248M

I had one of these at a previous house. The cats had no problem using it, I didn’t have a dog at the time. It sticks to the door frame with sticky tabs. Your dog may prefer it as it is softer but no idea on the bead curtain though.

I have something which looks similar in my summer home, but it is simply velcro tape around the door frame, then I just pressed the mesh material stuck on the velcro, and cut it off at the length I wanted. Neither dogs, nor cats had much trouble learning how to get through it. Doesn't always keep all flies out, but enough to keep me happy.

I do have sometimes have problems when I take Clover out to do the toilet in the warm weather and she gets distracted by a fly that is understandably more interesting to her than doing her business! I've read citronella sticks/candles help repel flies but I'm not sure about their effects on pets so haven't tried them myself.
