Beagler Sizing

Hi

What are your thoughts on the sizing of a Beagler hat.

I'm a 56cm, but someone told me that you should buy slightly smaller so that they don't move around.

Anyone got any thoughts?

I have a charles owen one and its a size smaller than my normal hat, it used to really hurt my head the first few times I wore it and left a lovely red mark round my head but its fine now.
 
Well I'm a 56cm and I bought another hat recently, GPA Classic and had to get a 59cm one!
Ubber confused...!
Unfortunately I can't try on all of these hats, as they aren't available in Bahrain :(

I either wear a 6 7/8 or a 6 3/4 my beagler is a 6 3/4 and it says 55cm and my head measures 54 and its quite tight, and thats the charles owen one you may be able to work out roughly what you need, I would say they are not that generous if my head measures smaller than 55, not much in the way of padding inside either let me know if you need any more help.
