Just thought I'd post a little update about my boy!!
He's being very good, albeit still very very thick!!
He had his boy bits off a couple of weeks ago, we have a couple of public rights of way going through our property and I just didn't want to risk any bitches on heat. Anyway you wouldn't have known he had it done as the next day he was straight back to normal and there was no chance of lead exercise only!
Yesterday we had our first walk, in public off the lead! He is 6 months now and we took him and his sister to a place with a nice short circular route. He is very good when meeting other animals anyway so I just made sure we took a whole pack of cocktail sausages and almost overrewarded him every time he came back so that hopefully he will never get the chance to get into the habit of ignoring me.
Last week he also went visiting at Hartpury for the dressage champs and sat very quietly for the whole day apart from when he needed the loo and then he was a bit fidgety! But who can blame him. He saw his brother (with Teffy) and they had a little snog and then Bear growled at him and told him to get out of his space!
Tommorrow he is off to his first point to point and presuming that I don't have too much champagne and sloe gin I hope that he will continue to be a doddle to take out.
Sorry for a self indulgent post but I think I've been so lucky to have such a laid back puppy. He is infamous in the area for it and everyone comments. But I have to say I am so pleased as at 6 months he is already weighing 33kg and I don't look forward to the day he decides he want to go in a different direction to me! We are just starting our KC bronze award at the minute so we need to get some practise in for stay but otherwise he is doing really well.
A Few pics...
