Well, she starts Doggie Weight Watchers on Saturday
She had been give some samples of Obesity Management to ensure she liked it before proceeding with the diet.
She has to go in on Saturday morning, 9am she's gonna be raging! So she'll get a weigh in and general health check and her food! Vet seems to favour Royal Canin, although there are other available diets but we're going with RC.
The nurse at the practise specialises in weight loss clinics so it is gonig to be well monitored and the weight is expected to be lost over a 12 week period. Any quicker and you could risk fatty liver syndrome.
Unlike previous vets, they take into account she is a big build for a mini schnauzer so are not going by normal guidelines for the breed otherwise she'd be too light. A lot of her is also muscle as well.
Beastie will get her own little chart to keep records of weight loss, what she is eating, general behaviour etc. She will have a weigh in every two weeks.
Vet will explain everything in more detail and how much she is to lose on Saturday.
So, wish the little chunk-a-munk luck for a slimmer outlook
