I’m still on the hunt for a trailer!

I’ve found a Bockmann Comfort rear unload only, laminated ply sides and ali floor.

Also found a Bateson Deuville, same sides I think and ali floor.

Both look really nice and have recent ish services, similar price, Bateson a couple years older than Bockmann.

I had an 510 previously and horse hated it so sold and looking for something else.

Which would be the best one to go for??

I have a bateson ascot and all of my horses travel well in it. Much prefer towing it to an ifor.

Bockmann look good quality but the rear unloading put me off.

I have found bateson are great to deal with when I have wanted parts and such. To me, speaking directly to the manufacturer rather than in-country agents is a plus point for bateson.

Bockmann every time. They are the rolls royce of trailers and give horses the most amazing smooth, quiet ride. Mine almost always backed out anyway, so never an issue for me.

Once upon a time trailers were nearly all rear unload, and the horses coped with that.

I have a Bateson Ascot which has been OK, and I agree with being able to get in touch with the firm about anything.
I daresay the Bockman is better made.

The bockmans are super trailers with a top notch rep, but I’d go for Bateson.
Bateson are good trailers with the advantage of being a UK brand with really good support and access to parts.
Rear unload is very common on the continent, but less so in the UK and, even if you are fine with it, many other people would be put off if you wanted to sell
