its 2hours away from me so i'm going to have to set off super early if i want to walk the xc course before my dressage.. does anyone know if the course is open for walking tomorrow at all?
Oh and im on on sat, anyone else goingt o be there?

Im there with nice times (11.50, 13.19, 13.57) but on sunday

according to BE rules the course has to be ready by a certain time the day before (normally 2/3ish) so it should be open

Does anyone have directions as i've still no idea where Beckwithshaw is?

HG3 1QL is the postcode and google mapping is able to locate it fine. Thankfully I got lost on the way to the great yorkshire and ended up going through beckwithshaw so can get that far... ... I hope!

I'm starting at 11 ish, I'll be about 2hr 45 ish so setting off super early too. Actually 7 ish which isn't too bad.. ... I don't think.

Fortunately brother is on first so if one of us is late for once it will be him

Langside I'm on at similar times to you. What's your number and I'll look out for you. I seriously hope the XC isn't too technical. We don't do technical and it's a 1st PN for the horse - we're only doing it 'cos there weren't any Intro spaces left

I'm involved with the organisation of Beckwithshaw and can confirm that the course will be open for walking as from tomorrow noon.

The course is located to the west of Harrogate, half way between Harrogate and Beckwtihshaw itself. Follow signs for Harlow Carr (the RHS gardens) away from Harrogate and you will find us on the right hand side.

As for the nature of the BE100 course, it was last used two years ago, since when it has undergone further development. We have received no complaints and the course is subject to external BE assessment and approval. However we would be grateful for feedback after this years event, whether in respect of BE100 course or the event in general.

We hope everyone has an enjoyable day and good luck. As for the competition in the BE100, everyone competes on equal merit!

You don't happen to know how far the xc course is from the lorry park as we have been warned it could be a bit of a distance (e.g. would it be worth taking a bike along?)

I'll pop over and watch your SJing, make sure you go at the right time!

Hi

There is a three minute walk from the lorry park down a farm track before its about 5 minutes across a field to get to the xc warm up - the track in the field circles the sponsors tent, the secretary and the commercial stalls, so for people on feet it will be about 5 mins from the lorry park -and they can pick up a latte on route!

As of this afternoon the course is pretty perfect for going and is looking good - the view from the technical people was that it was good for first timers. Hope you do well.

As mentioned before all feedback is welcome.

William
