Hello

What qualifications one would need to become a qualified riding instructor? Can someone tell me what the course/exam entails & approximate cost? Thankyou

There is the bhs route, you would go through your stage 1, then riding road safety and stage 2, then preliminary teaching test. That's the minimum for a lot of riding schools, and you can go further with your stage 3, advanced instructor (I think?) test, etc. Have a look on the British Horse Society website for cost, I can't remember how much they are. Hope this helps :) there are more routes as well aside from bhs.

I am currently working toward this, the min as mentioned is stage 1, 2 then ride and road safety and the ptt after that you can do stage 3 then your Ai and after that your stage 4 and I exam but you would need to be extremely competent and riding and jumping. I also plan to do UK cc afterward. Be prepared for a long road and lots of studying detail you don't expect
