Has anyone had experience of dogs bed wetting?? Will try and keep it short.....
Our Sprocker has on about half a dozen occasions wet her bed whilst fast asleep - not a little leak but a BIG puddle
It started in her bed but has also happened twice in the car, always after they have had a very long walk and she has been out for the count. It's as if she is too tired to wake up and ask to go out - once she has wet the damp patch does wake her and she gets very upset, runs to the door and spins round whining a very deep whine till she is let out. We've never told her off for it as it seems she has no bladder control
We can only link it to starting after she spent 10days in Cambridge vet hospital in Jan 2010 due to blackthorn poisoning (heavily sedated/GA everyday) and when we picked her up they said that she wouldn't pee on the lead but was wetting either her kennel bedding or the kennel room floor. Since getting her home she has remained "house trained" (other then the occassional excitement dribble which she's always had) and asks to go out with no increase in frequency however, she just seems to have become a bed wetter
Has anyone ever heard of anything similar? Any thoughts on if it is a training thing or maybe more a physical problem? She's due vaccs soon so will have a chat with the vet also....other than this she is her normal crazy self
Choccy flapjack and a big mug of tea for all
