I'm going to be moving soon to a yard without electric, and I'd like to light up the small barn/stable.
I'm liking the look of the Bedazzled Stable Lighting system, and wondered if anyone had any experience with it?

Are the bulkhead lights themselves any good? I like good lighting, don't mind if it's a little dimpsy, but it would be nice to be able to see my horses properly, instead of using a head torch.

Yes can highly recommend. Go for the extra brights, the charge on the lamp lasts for ages as well.

The "Stable Lights System High Brightness" ones yeah? I was quite attracted to the idea that the charge lasts a good while, 2.5hrs if I went for 4 bulkheads, which is more than enough time for what I would need. And looking at the 'plug and play' system, I could probably disconnect the end one temporarily if I needed it longer?

Can 100% recommend. Have had these lights at my yard for at least 5 years and could not have managed without. Get the brightest leds in the bulkheads. Nicest people to deal with too.

I'm liking these responses!

I don't suppose anyone has any photos of their stables being illuminated with these lights that they wouldn't mind sharing at all?

Love mine.:) double stable. Open partition. One light in each. One torch. Can do all my jobs when dark. Going to get other two stables kitted out too. Great service from company too. Had a problem with first torch, sorted promptley, quickley and in a friendly fashion.

This sounds amazing! I have a lone stable tucked away by itself away from the electric supply and I currently muck it out by head torch, it's ok but I'd love a proper light.

I have a set that I have had for about five years. The improvements in LED lighting are so great, you can now get LED strip lights, which are incredibly bright, that I think the system is expensive for what it is.
LED are 12volt, so you can connect them to a 12volt battery , so I would go and check what QVS, Electricalbase have, smile sweetly at the person behind the counter and ask their advice.
I also have some cheap pull switch LED light bulb, cheap, £3 and all plastic and easily moved.

I think I agree with honetpot. I have these (the old set with the big yellow torch). It is expensive for what you get considering the price of LED strips. If I didn't already own mine, that's probably the way I'd go. That said, they are very good lights. The charge lasts a decently long time. I don't use the torch for anything other than powering the lights, though - it's far too big and clunky.

I had considered LED Strips, ideally solar powered as lugging a leisure battery back and forth would do my nut in. However, I did like the ease of set-up for these, and being able to take the power source (torch) away was appealing to me, as it would prevent some dodgy chancer pinching it.

The stablelights.co.uk are even expensive for what they are. I have seen some for under £10.http://www.tmart.com/Portable-Solar...GvceSPuHTRSM8DEAwJJqZpApEIMon1-xoCga8QAvD_BwE
The energy use for LED's is so low, even our drive PIR lighting is on LED, with batteries. They lasted 18months, even with the cat switching it on and off all the time.
You can now power them from a USB point so a small battery is all you need. I yellow lamp is a bit of a brick and though like you I thought it was be useful it wasn't really.

They look very good. If you're not got the budget for them I can recommend this strip light. I have one in the feed room which is on a motion sensor and one in the barn and they are amazing. I can take them home to re-charge as well. The one in the barn I've attached to some hooks so that I can move it from stable to stable.
Much better than a head torch.
