Bedding Choices

Hey guys, I used to use shredded cardboard for bedding as my horse is really really wet I love it, quick to muck out, I threw out very little due to it being so fabulously absorbent. Unfortunately the livery yard owner has banned me from using it. Any ideas for sensible priced bedding which is as good as the cardboard please.

I've never used cardboard so not sure if mine is comparable; I use Ravieara which is chopped oil sed rape straw. One of my boys is a dirty b****r and he does well on it; it's about £6 a bale.

I used to use cardboard too and loved it. I have a very wet horse and now use wood pellets, they are cheap and very absorbent.

I use flax on my very wet horse, and it's easy to muck out. The price varies from my local places from £6.60-£7.50 a bale.

Out of interest, why has you yard owner banned it? I use it and love it. It rot down quicker than shavings.
