I kept my youngster in his stable last night for the first time, on a bed of shavings.
Got to the yard this morning to find them kicked everywhere! All the muck was tossed up in it, wee mixed and and just a general state, it's going to take ages to clean out!! I could not believe that amount of mess he'd made spreading it all around, I was not impressed...
So really I need suggestions as to what to do about a bed for him. I don't want to be using shavings if he's going to make such a mess of them everytime, mucking that out everytime is going to be herendous! So was thinking if maybe I should spend my shavings money on rubber mats instead with a light cover of shavings, to soak up wee etc. and meaning if I have to take it all out, isn't going to be such a waste.
Do you think this is a good idea or should I try something else??
