My mothers border collie, who turned one in April, lives the good life. Many hours walking many miles, plenty of stimulation with toys, perhaps the only thing missing is a flock of sheep. She is well behaved. Sleeps in her bed in the kitchen, and is a good all round lovely bitch.
However, she will eat her bed sheets! We are all beginning to worry more and more, as the cotton fibres from the sheets are coming out the other end - but all knotted and often she can't 'get rid of them' (very embarrassing!!) . We don't want her ending up with a knot inside and causing damage to herself.
She eats cushion insides, so she just has cotton bed sheets. Could anyone here suggest anything that we could use?

Normal fleece or Vetbed is the only thing my male will not eviscerate. Or if she keeps eating them, just take them away, it won't kill her. I couldn't keep anything with mine until he was about 3, his decision lol.

We have a rubber mat in the base of our crate because the Labs pups ate their bedding, including Vetbed. We have have tried again with Vetbed and they seem to be ok with it now but it was getting rather expensive!

I know you can get raised dog beds, bit like a camp bed? So off the ground, but less to snack on!

Or there's this, depends how much you really, really love her!

My old boy had a fleecy car back seat cover as a bed when he was young. Gradually ate all of it, then started on the carpet. Can't honestly say he grew out of it. I did obedience with him but had to watch if doing scent work as he was inclined to swallow the scent cloth on the way back to me.
