Bedding in east anglia

hello
just wondering, in particular shavings, but also other good horse bedding (dust free). where the best suppliers were, and other companys are.
we have contacted Bed-Down and also "chapmans quality bedding" from stradbroke -anyone know what their shavings are like???

we want to but a pallet load or so and can pick up. Just having difficulrty finding the suppliers/producers, any insight would be great

also interested in other things such as hemp/wood chip-like easibed.

any opinions would be fantastic

Have you tried Dixons Dustless? they are based in suffolk.

I use Sundown Yellow (shredded rape straw with eucolyptus) £4.75 a bale, uses 1 a week per stable. Much cleaner to use than shavings and much nicer too....

I get mine from Pear Tree Farm in Hartest (near Bury St Eds). They deliver free to me but you are a bit further away.... You can get about 60 bales in a standard trailer...

I use Flax from thorogoods they deliver throughout essex. I used Essex animal feeds for deliverys of 1 pallett plus too

thanks mrussell that sounds really interesting, we have actually just ordered some shavings now at the same price delivered for 75 bales.
sounds very interesting though, definatly wiorth a thought in the future!
