Has anyone used that bedding (forgotten name) that comes as small pellets, you add water and it swells up to look like sawdust? Just need your opinions on cost, if it is any good etc.
 
Aquamax? If so, I did try it but didn't like it. Have put Tilly (cob mare who can pee for England

) on to Megazorb - this is wood pulpy stuff, you don't have to pour water on it and it is super-absorbent. So far, have only had to put in one bag per week. Cost is £4.45 per bag.
 
I use aquamax on my two and think it's great. You only wet it when you first put the bed down then I usually add one bag a week (about £5.20). It's quicker than shavings to muck out and my muck heap is much smaller too.
 
What do you do with old tack? Sell it to me really really cheap??? lolol. Try e-bay if nothing else. The problem is that saddle prices are so low right now, you just about get nothing. You could donate it to a really REPUTABLE horse charity, but be careful, some aren't as good as others and will sell your tack and pocket the money so do some research before you donate!
