Bedding

I also hated easibed, i found i used alot of it and i began to look very grotty after a few days. Also didnt find it very asorbent.
Not with the money imo

Definately struggling to get them! Apparantly there is a shortage because they are not milling that much at the moment and won't be until about February! I don't really mind as long as whatever I get lasts as long as hunters!

No Hunters anywhere at the moment. We have got some in called Euro bales which are superb. They smell like a pine shop, and they go a really long way! £7.50 a bale though!!!!!

i used to use hunters but have now gone over to equisorb and i absolutly love it. I wish i had chaged years ago.

I was using hunters before and but i was using loads and found the quailty was fst going down the pan.

I do know of a company that will deliver hunters in kent for 59 a bale which is very good, i have my euisorn and feed from them and they deliver with no mim amount free of charge.

Where are you based in kent? Pm me if you like

I use easibed, but can't compare it woodchip as I've never used it.

I use 2 bags a week, skip out every day, and take the wet out once a week. I find it easy to keep clean but it does need a decent amount putting down to begin with (8-10 bags) otherwise you'll find your horse just keeps churning up the wet as it sinks to the bottom.

I use 7 or 8 bags to begin with then one a week, skipping out daily and take wet out weekly. I don't have to remove the whole bed as mare uses same two areas to wet so spend less than an hour a week maintaining it!

We use Laysoft, very similar to Easibed, although a little darker. Doesnt move about too much even with an 18hh Shire and under 4.00 per bale!

I did look at easybed when i was deciding what to change too and its was awfu stuff. I thought it was woody and very sharp and not at all suited to horse bedding i laid my arm on it and it was like laying on needles. It didnt look absorbant at all either

The stuff i went for was equisorb which is flax bedding and its the best bedding i have ever used. I have been so pleased with it and my horse is much easier to manage on it.

I throw much less away so have less to put back in so its more cost effective too.
