They can make nice nests with them, burrow in deep. But you need a fair few to let the wee through and tbh not the easiest to much out
At least with the Egyptian cotton sheets you can fire them in the washing machine
Egyptian cotton is very luxurious but no good for a messy horse, IME. The sticks are good for a messy horse, but the set up can be a bit off putting time-wise (you have to cut the sticks with scissors - though I've found you can do 3 at a time once you get proficient).
