Aubiose/hemp? Flax?(rodents love flax , so beware) Megasorb, my favourite, wood pulp, Is that allowed?

I like straw pellets (not had anyone try and eat them so far) and a friend uses chopped miscanthus. Both pretty absorbent and fast to muck out. Rot down very quick so will keep the yard owner happy.

Great thank you! My pony is very spoilt so I love love shavings as there so soft but becuase they put the muck on there own fields they want something that rots down quicker 🥲

The straw pellets break down into a yellow/brownish sawdust type bed. I like it as it's dead quick to muck out but if you like a big soft fluffy bed I'd go for the chopped miscanthus. My friends horse is massive and he flops down in that no trouble, still pretty good for mucking out as it's very absorbent.
I put my muck heap on the fields too so no woodshavings here!
