Has anyone used? Currently using straw pellets for Millie but after initially being impressed with them, the bed started getting really wet and thin and I found myself having to top up with a bag almost every day. She is exceptionally wet and her stable doesn’t drain very well, plus we get rising damp at times in our barn during some weathers, which doesn’t help.
I do like straw pellets as a base, so thinking of just putting something on top. My go-to would normally be shavings but I saw our local feed store has Bed Down, which I’ve never tried.
I really don’t want to be using more than 2 bags of anything a week.

Ease of mucking out? Millie is a poo burier, and what I love about straw pellets is she can’t bury them so it’s easier to muck out.

I tried a bag of it but wasn’t that keen, it was very clumpy to be honest. I switched to miscanthus which is fab as the poops don’t mix in with it and it’s very absorbent
