I’m sure I recall that someone on the forum has/had one? Just wondering what they are like, I’ve known a couple who have been sweet little souls - whilst being typical terriers of course 😊

Yes, Bosworth had a little bedlington. We used to have one lived in our village, owners drove over 200 miles each way to collect it from a reputable source. They didnt have it clipped in the traditional cut so you wouldnt recognise it as a bedlington as such but it was the sweetest little dog, my 3 used to love meeting up with it and its housemate who was a rough coated lurcher, they had great fun running around together and playing chase the springer :)

Awwww I’ve just gone off on a nostalgia trip to find the lady who bred my second whippet in 1990 - the lady was still very actively breeding rather gorgeous Highlands too until quite recently! Only 100 miles each way to pick that puppy up though, she was local 😊😊

Bosworth with the pics and the PM - I’m definitely convinced 😊😊😊 just gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️

nice to see pics of your boy, i thought it was you that had a beddy, he looks beautiful

thank you. I absolutely adore him. Hes provided joy when ive had some dreadful times, and makes everyone laugh at his clown like attitude. And will happily cuddle up with anyone who needs love. Hes amazing with sheep, and cattle. I couldn't wish for a more laid back chap.

Oh he's gorgeous Bosworth 😍

A Beddy and a Scottie are next on my list of terriers I would like to have (hopefully not for a while yet though - two terriers at a time is plenty!)

Does this mean you're considering one Lev??!! 😁

Yes 😊 I’ve always said it would be another whippet, but I met one last weekend and was reminded that they can be just a little bit reserved and aloof (the girls that is)

My friend has a beddie & I’ve always had a soft spot for them because they are so non-terrier like 😄 Bosworth’s pics are just fabulous 😍😍😍

I’m on a mission now.... how could Bosworth be working/busy and not posting more adorable pictures or answering my 20 million questions 😍😄😄

Id forgotten about Bedlingtons too. We are not looking for another dog just yet but at some point over the next year or so expect we might be. We want to go a touch smaller than a springer but bigger than a jrt, must be amenable and fun. We have been thinking mid sized poodle maybe, love the look of the kooikerhondje but where would you find one in Bucks and had completely forgotten about our friends little Bedlington. Lev, let me know if you find a good reliable breeder please, or Bosworth, if you have details still?

Bosworth has already given me names of a couple of good breeders MBC (but I’m first on the waiting list of course 😛 😄😄😄) - I just need to tick a couple more boxes off before I can approach them and add myself to any puppy queue they are holding 😊

Fantastic dogs and so underrated generally. :)

How about a beddy whippet? A friend has one and she is lovely. A bit whippetish in attitude for me but if you like longdogs?

I absolutely love them Clodagh, but the idea is I’m going to get something KC registered this time so I can try a few shows 😱😊

I blame BC for that idea 😛

I actually realised that after reading your puppy thread. :-) Good luck!

Would you be looking for a pet or a show dog? Im more than happy to give you contacts, and if you are in Bucks you have to be prepared to travel. There is an excellent breeder in the midlands, and one I know down here in Devon. but most are further up into Yorkshire, and litters are few and far between and over subscribed. Which is good, because you rarely see a Bedlington in rescue.

I love the irish terriers too, I met one at puppy show school, he was stunning.

That is nice to hear! I think they are fabulous and so far mine has completely stolen my heart. My friend with some rather smart whippets was murmering something to me about whippet/irish possibilities!! That would certainly be interesting. I can't wait to see how my Irish grows up. His mum has the most brilliant temperament. :)

How exciting, please keep us informed, I fully intend to live vicariously through this whole experience with you. They look like such lovely dogs, I've never seen one in real life and now I feel as though I'm missing out! 🐾😍🐾. One thing is for sure, the puppy will have a wonderful life with you. Let's start thinking of names...
