Bedlington terriers.......

Bedlington x whippet is about my favorite mix in the world. They are like mini wolfhounds and have met some absolutely cracking ones. Would have one myself in a shot. More personality and less nervy than the whippets I've met. Sadly not common here in oz :( I don't think I've ever actually med a full Bedlington strangely enough. Not helpful to add to the thread but thought I'd share.

Bosworth, thank you for the info. Definitely a pet, no interest in showing at all. We hopefully wont be looking for 2-3 years as all 3 of ours are currently fit and well, however the springers are entering their later years. Would it be worth getting on a wait list already do you think, we can always say no I suppose if we are offered a pup too soon

They are indeed divine. A friend of mine had a full Bedlington: it had a real terrier character and I think was probably less biddable than a beddy whippet x but sooo lovely!! As my OH is not a fan of long dogs or lurchers my interest in the Irish terrier was absolutely enhanced by the way that they are often described as a wolfhound in miniature....:p:)
