I've got to remove a fat cob from his straw bed and was going to stick him on shavings, was just wondering whether anybody had any experience of the new Littlemax? Seems to me with smaller flakes it should be more absorbent? Both same price.......

We have both on the yard, and I am changing to littlemax from Bedmax! It's lovely, fine so easy to muck out, but with the lovely clean small of bedmax! :D Win win situation!!

I used sundown products, they have a variety of shavings/hemp beddings that are very absorbent and you get more in a bale and they cost less too! :)

Altho I did have a look at littlemax and thought …… they look good!!

Ya, i think I'll give the littlemax a bash - worst case it'll be back to the old yellow bags. I'm getting mine for £6.79(inc vat) - expensive?

I use bedmax, its quite heavy to move around when wet I find but my boy is not a wet horse so isnt too bad.
We are paying around £6.50 a bale for it around here which I thought was quite reasonable!

£7.47 is nuts!
I'm down berkshire way now and i know that if i wanted lots (200+) i could get them for +/- £6 ish. As it is i'm getting some littlemax from efeed for £6.59 - pretty sure they'll deliver anywhere in uk, Bedmax was same price too.

Manky straw and crap hay means i think my nags are going to be costing me at least one trip to the pub a week more than they did last year!

Was hoping to give littlemax a try but not available up north yet! Love bedmax but I am hopeful littlemax will be better at soaking up wet patches when just a sprinkling over mats and use in trailer/horsebox
