Bee sting

Poor Pen has got a bee sting right near her eye. I removed the sting, I didn't realsie what it was to start with so probalby squished all the poison into her. :-(
I have given her half a loratadine, is there anything else I can do? She is quite sad and trying to rub it.

Oh, poor girl! Keep an eye on any swelling, I doubt the vet would do more. I wonder if you could up the amount of loratadine? I gave no idea of the dose for her size/age.

Thank you for replying. Google told me that labs could have 10mg but I only risked 5 as she is small.
Swelling all gone today. I sat for ages holding a cold compress on it.

Ha, the things we do for our dogs!

Bear was sneezing madly on a walk last week, the OH went to see why, there was a wasp crawling up his nose! I have no idea how it fit, given the size of the nostril. He yanked it out before thinking, not sure I would have been so quick to pull out a wasp.
