being so close and affected by the Surrey outbreak, I really hope the tests prove negative.
however, i found this quote interesting.... and just one more way the current government wants to treat the countryside like a playground for townies, and not recognise that it's a working landscape in the main, and not a toy to be played around with.
eanwhile, Culture Secretary James Purnell has announced a £1m aid package for the tourist industry after it was hit by flooding and foot-and-mouth.
He announced the money during a visit to two tourist attractions - the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and Hatton Country World in Warwickshire.
