Can anyone enter these or do they need to qualify ???

Would like my boy to get out and do some in hand in a well organised place ???

Also what do you have to do ??

Anyone can enter as long as the horse has recorded breeding lines.

They run it in the same format as SHB sportshorse classes.

I did it last year with a 2yo, you basically all go in the ring together and walk around. They then pull you into a line up in no particular order and you then go individually.

You stand them up square (or not as the case may be!) for conformation judging and then walk them around a large triangular shaped set of boards, and then trot them round the triangle.

When everyone has gone you all walk round the arena again and they kept back 8 horses for final judging, everyone else left at this point. Then they picked the top 6.

Thanks sounds good - this is a picture of my boy earlier this year he is now a bit bigger

Do you think im waisting my time going ??

There's probably better people on here to advise you, I'm useless at evaluating babies. But I don't think he would look out of place.
I took my Kings Composer baby and thought we would be outclassed, and admittedly he did look a bit small and weak compared to some, but we were still held back in the final 8

I'd definitely give it a shot!

How is he bred?

He is Irish Sports Horse - his dad had some very famous lines in him and mum is my showjumper who has good breeding - i used the Irish draught to get something i bit bigger boned and more laid back as she is a bit of a nutter which definately worked !!

Its on a tuesday i need to make sure i can get someone to come with me !!
