Just a little update on my mare. we are 2 shoeing cycles in now ( very short cycles ) barefoot hasnt been ruled out but very pleased with the progress so far:
What i started with. Seriously, who lets a horse get into this state? Previous owner swore blind it had been 6 weeks since last reset *rolls eyes*
2 resets later:
Farrier is an AWCF open-minded to trying new things, but i do trust him to do the right thing. We both discussed providing heel support, wide webbed at the back to support the heels and paying special attention to the ML balance. the more upright foot is looking good too.
