Before and after jumping video (one falling off to tempt you)!!!!

I feel she could do with shortening her stirrups and shortening her reins. But for being 11 on quite a big horse she is doing really well.

She looks fantastic in the 2nd video, I just know that the 1st one will be me when I start jumping Cropi!!!

She must be really pleased with herself

Poor thing!

At least she has stuck at it.She needs to be able to keep the horse more balanced and in a shorter ,rhythmic canter so the horse doesn't stand off its fences and jump her off.Work on canter poles and grids to help with striding

She looks much better, even though she's a little one it looks more like inexperience to me in the first. He put in a big one that she wasnlt expecting didn't he!

Anyway, looking great now, I'd just keep doing small courses to get her confidence and then move things on.

The first one was the first time she has jumped anything other than a 11hh pony!!!! She had got really brave and started to go in to the jump a bit keenly...... I have to jump merlin in a 3 ring gag as he is a speed demon who pulls like a train..... its weird, he is so good for her :-/

He always used to put a small stride in, so to do such a leap really took us by surprise!!!

lol. sounds like me when i was 11! As long as she wasn't hurt alls good!

Someone has mentioned above to get a rythem etc. but i've been brought up as a hunting girl and had to stick on what ever - I'm sure she'll do just fine. Maybe get her some rides on some ponys. it must be hard to move from an 11hh to a 15hh!!

We did have the haffy in sig on loan but she was too scared to jump her at all, and she didnt do anything wrong, it just didnt feel good. Not sure why merlin is so good for her, he just seems to look after her.

Her friend had a ride recently and he took off round the school with her flat out, she lost a stirrup and ended up being catapaulted into the school wall when he did a dirt track stop by me!!!! You could almost hear him say 'for gods sake get this off my back'

Yet for Zoe he is as sweet as can be.... she has good balance and kind hands I think and he doesnt feel that he is going to come to any harm, so stays calm himself..... it cant be her experience as she is a very novice rider, collection and going on the bit are as much of a mystery to her as they are to merlin!!!!

And as they are to me! I can totally understand what you are saying, she sounds like a lovely quiet rider, which horses love!
