Hi everyone,

i’ve been told i could show a 11.2hh 7 year old that is at my yard if i’d like to. For clarification i have ridden him before and he has a very lovely temperament, very forward and keen but a little impatient.
I’m very new to showing myself this would be my first ever proper show!!

I’ve watched videos online about ridden showing but i’m not 100% sure what class he would go in as well as how i’d ride the class itself as i’ve seen you’ve got to do an individual show??
Please correct me if i’m wrong but any help would be amazing on this! thank you.

Hello Angel, welcome to the forum.
I don't do ridden showing but I noticed you didn't get answers so I'm just replying so it will go back to the top of the list where people will see it.

A pic would be helpful. And what’s his breeding?

Depending on type you might struggle. Unless he’s a native breed there will be an age restriction on a pony of that size if in show hunter/ riding pony classes and a pony of that size would typically be a lead rein. If it’s just a local fun show you might find you can do riding/ pony club classes, equitation or a generic novice class :)

How old are you? If you’re just looking at doing local fun riding club/pony club shows you can do things like best pony club pony, mountain and moorland depending on breed, best rider etc.

He is small and most that height would be lead rein ponies so doing lead rein classes.
