Beginners Dressage (Croft RC/Croft Dressage)

Has anyone ever been and done the beginners prelim class here?

I fancy a go on my mare (fully expecting a sheet of 'above the bit' comments) at the end of December. Prelim 7 is the class.

I'm a bit apprehensive!!
 
My friend goes there. I've been to watch and they seem nice and friendly. Warm-up isn't too bad, although it looked a bit boggy! Good luck!

Its not till Dec 30th.

Is the warm up outside?

Croft has been taken over and the tiny indoor has been used for storage, so when I go SJ i have to work in outside then hang around outside the ring, which seems silly!
 
Yeah, it was outside after a fair bit of rain! I've only been there the once to watch my friend compete. Didn't know it had been taken over, do you know by who? Might see you there!
 
Jenny Daniels sold it and its been bought by a man named Chris.
He's planning to push the business on now I think so has lessons later into the evening, also I think hes buying the yard that Jo Graham teaches from/her mum owns and expanding out there.

The small indoor is now tractor storage.

I'm there on Sunday for Brookhead RC's unaffiliated SJ. Just trying to get out and about with the pony at the min shes started being a bit 'looky' and coming into doubles with spreads a bit sticky.. bless her! Are you going to be there?
 
Hi Hayley - not sure if I know you or not!

Croft Dressage has become hugely popular - to the extent that the past two months they have had to split both prelim classes into two sections. I'd advise you to get your entries in early because they are talking about having to ballot out if they continue to get such big numbers.

Beginners class generally runs in the indoor which your pony will know if you do Brookhead SJ there, with working in outside.

It is very well run and friendly and I think their entries are testament to the organisation

BTW - the next one is running on a FRIDAY this time - so it's the 28th not the 30th!
