Hiya,
Does anyone out there know of a good behavioural therapist in the north west stockport area????
Got an extremely tricky mare on my hands and not sure where to with her.

Thanks

Having the mare from hell,( for the sake of my OH's health now on loan to our daughter in Southampton)
Shoot her now and save your sanity trying to figure her out.
We love ours to bits but can't live with her, but couldn't trust anyone else with her either, I couldn't stand the thought of some stranger beating up on her, which would probably happen. Because there has been many times when I have wished I owned a gun.
Our daft mare while longreining her, dragged my OH off his feet, along a forest track, till I got her tied to a tree, then she threw a temper tantrum, charging at me through brambles and forest, resulting in her literally tying her legs together so she couldn't move, she turned her head, looked at my grass/mud stained OH and asked, "What do I do now dad"
My daughter, although an infrequent visitor, (she is in the forces) has a bond with this mare, because they are both tempremental, so now our mardy mare has a new life in the new forest and my daughter knows life does not revolve around her and we in our dotage have nice sensible horses to happy hack on
win win situation

OP if you're still looking for help, I'd highly recommend you give Paddy Gracey a call and have a chat about your mare.

Paddy covers all of the Gtr Manchester area and is a godsend. Is very good with the trickiest of horses, and he kind and fair approach has worked many miracles with the most reluctant of horses.

Best of luck!
