Behaviour Help?

HI all i have a little Jack Russell x Patterdale (Teddy) he will be a year old on the 10th December, He is a great little dog but recently has stared to be aggresive with other young dogs. I also have a v friendly 6 yo Jack they both play with all the other dogs in the park but recently Teddy has started out playing but then turned on other dogs, they are always young dogs! now Teddy still has his bits i didnt want to have them removed but im now thinking that this behaviour is him trying to tell the others that he is dominat? should i get his bits off? any tips?
 
It wouldn't hurt, to be honest, especially if you're not going to be breeding from him and he is already throwing his weight around x
You might also pop him to a training class where a good trainer could help pinpoint other possible triggers and help you through the issue.
 
So he plays well at first, is fine upon greeting, on lead but has a tendancy to turn mid play?
Is the bitch neutered?
Castration may not be the answer but it will help immensley if it is indeed hormone related and cannot hurt the training process while trying to work with the issue, so for this, if he where mine (he would be ball-less anyways):D but in this situation then yes they would go:)
It could be he is maturing and becoming more confident in his challenging of other dogs, esp if you bitch plays to and they are a little pack themselves.
 
Thought you may like to see the littel chap Teddy is the balck n tan Douglas is the propper JR age 6, they are both boy they get on well together, its jaut recently Ted has started to pick on young dogs never the oler ones, just really odd as he loves to play and starts out as play then he will turn.

Is Douglas quite dominant with him? What's Teddy like when you walk him without Douglas (just as a way of watching reactions). This is not uncommon when a younger dog is introduced into a household with an established adult dog. Are you pack leader?
IME castration does not solve dominance issues, the character remains the same. It sounds to me as though Teddy has insecurity issues. I would walk him on his own for a while just to see if his behaviour changes. Good luck:)
