hi,

new to this just bought new pony he does not use his back-end he only does frint wheel drive!!

any one have any good suggestions on how to get him to use his back-end he is 7 so still quite young so nothing to harsh please

I would say try getting some lesson from a qualified instructor, they'll be able to see why the horse isn't engaging and give you proper advice on how to get him shaking his behind

Change gear......................You want to select the one marked 4WD!!!

Try lunging with 2 reins,using the outside lunge line to encourage the hindquarters underneath him, also check the obvious 1st ie...tack,teeth etc just to be sure there is no underlying reason before you start

Long reining, and lots of hill work and a good instructor. Ride him up to the bit.
