Being there when your horse id PTS

And ps. That 10 commandments is very sweet but also sloy of made up crap. Dont be made to feel guilty by that rubbish.....that's all it did for me :(

It may be a bit soppy but in essence those 10 commandments are saying that every owner should have respect and take responsibility for their horse today and in the future and it applies imo to every animal you take on.

I'd always be there. I have a livery who couldn't be though and I'd stay with hers as I like there being a friendly face however understand that some people couldn't cope with it.

If not able to stay calm, someone else perhaps, a friendly face is nice, but seeing there owner very upset may make them not the most comfortable in their last moments.

I would always hold mine and if I wasn't able to get there or was an emergency, OH would.

I was there when my beautiful girl was laid to rest. I felt I needed to be there, and my gut told me too! She went so peacefully and im glad we were together when she went, I know its what she would have wanted. I laid with her when she took her last breath and when her heavy eyes closed.
