I know I have already said it but thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages you sent, although we are still very upset we all know we did the right thing and that Hillock had a wonderful life with us. I didn't reply to the actual post but I have printed it off and plan to bury a copy of the entire thread with his ashes.
As always life goes on and so here is a belated report from Brook Farm on Sunday where we went to do the two Novices with Blitz and finally got to meet the lovely JoC and very clean and sparkly Patrick (healing vibes still being sent).
Although the day turned out to be very sad for all of us Blitz was an absolute star, despite the wind and rain he produced two very nice tests winning them both with 70.2% and 67.7%
He is starting to really come into his own and is looking far more polished and flowing in the arena. It used to be a case of very nice trot work once we were trotting and nice canter work once he was in canter.
Sunday's tests really flowed with some lovely mediums which scored a 9!
and plenty of 7s and 8s. Rein back is still an issue he thinks 2 steps back is plenty
but we are working on it!
We are off to Merrist Wood on Saturday for the young horse class so it will be interesting to see what the judges make of him this year.
