I have a friend who had two on her yard. They are built like tanks and these ones did like you use their strength against you, e.g could be strong leading to the fields but nothing really naughty. But they are total, laid back novice rides. Defiantly kick on neds. I quite like them actually.

The only real problem was getting tack and stuff to fit them.

We have a part bred begian. He is a bit... odd but I think its him (he was bred for meat and some idiot imported him) and he needs his brain occupied as he is the type to misbehave when not challenged. If your firm with him on the gound and propperly establish his boundaries he's a sweetie. That being said the breed as a whole is loved in the states where they're everywhere as safe cobs. Scrooge does have a dengenerative joint disorder now however (rising 8) as his conformation is very top heavy with proportionally not masses of bone but this wouldn't have been an issue if he was humanely slaughtered for meat when he was supposed to be....

Edited to show versitility and conformation to avoid.

Despite his conformation problems, I like him and he would look great in harness. Is he used for driving?
