Why on earth do you even care what a few random people on a forum you have just joined think!? Gosh, if it was my friend in ICU I think I would have better things to concern myself with than defending myself to a bunch of strangers!

That's not a criticism by the way, I just think perhaps a sense of proportion might be useful. Given the gravity of her injuries, disbelievers on a poxy forum will be the very last of her worries I'm sure!

I've been on this forum for a good few years now and I can't think of many situations where more people have been keen to send their best wishes and support to someone- those are the ones that count.

As has been said already it will all come out in the wash eventually so you have nothing to worry about!
