Belle had her MOT yesterday

and the gist of it is...

she's fine! Her eyesight isn't as good as it was, but that's to be expected at her age. And her right hind fetlock is a little sore on flexion but she's sound and vet doesn't think painkillers are necessary. I'm so pleased!

Ha ha, definitely. I'm a little worried as to what the future may hold with her stiff leg but I suppose it's a risk you take with all older horses. We're thinking about buying her (and I'm secretly hoping OH will get my hints and buy her as my xmas pressie) but I'm worried as we're on a budget and supplements etc all add up. Saying that, it could be years before it gets worse, and some horses would have arthritis in all 4 legs by 20 years so i think I'm really really lucky
