Belly bandage re spurs

Has anyone used one of these?
My boy marks very easily and I bought one last week and its really small. I also don't like that it seemed to fit under the saddle with straps that go through the saddles gullet, thereby possibly causing pressure points. It didn't even reach under his belly.
Just wondered if anyone used one and how they felt it fitted etc.

A friend got one, decided it wasnt useful.
She leaves a square on each side when clipping in the winter and never forgets to change her boots before getting on, whatever the weather.

My old boss (SJ rider) got one for one of his horses who had very sensitive skin but it always seemed to sit slightly awkwardly. He just left a square on either side in the end when clipping, as per TFF's post.
