Dressage:..came out as fresh as usual, but for once he settled, the dressage was on the side of a hill.. so although he wobbled round his test he did try and listen for once and did a test i was rather pleased with, to score 35.

Show Jumping:.. hmmm doggy is the only way i can decride him here.. he wasn't helping at all!! he is a very green over sensitive type, and there was the usual things going on round the outside of the ring (which was also on the side of a hill).. one day he'll grow up.. he only had the 2 down, which wasn't too bad, but i wasn't best pleased with the way he did it!!

Cross Country:.. with the thought of the way he SJ'd in my head, i wasn't best looking forwards to the xc.. although it was a very straight forward track it was far too twisty for the likes of Squeak, with too much stoping and starting, i never managed to set up a nice rythm.
Again, he was very green.. it' hard to know if he's giving me such an bad feel cos nothing is backing him off, and he should move up to novice, or because he's so green and needs to grow in confidance!! I think a bit of both.. anyway, he had one stop at the second water which had a hanging log going in.

He'll next run at Pontispool in 3 weeks time.

LOL, i guess so.
At Aldon (apart from being a prat in the dressage) i really thought he'd grown up!! so today to do a nice dressage, and then behave like an arse for the rest wasn't what he was ment to do!!!
young horses!! as i keep telling myself, him more than anyother horse is going to take time!!!

well done, think today was a baby today, squeaks did not much wrong apart from being a baby. lets hope you come back grinning from pontispool

I've actually been giving it some thought...
For a start the poor sod hasn't jumped for over 10 days, as i've been working on his flat work (which obviously has worked

)

And the last time he felt like this, was when intro was to small for him!! i think it's cos he need a bigger fence to back him off and make him concentrate... we'll see tho... some grid work this week me thinks, and will then try and find some SJing for him.

It is a poor course for horses to get into a rythem. See what he is like at Pontispool as far better course and will ask far more questions. Sounds like the dressage is improving.
