well i havent evented for nearly a yr now and after mu experience with monty i didnt know what to expect as choc hasnt seen a dressage arena since he was 5..

on sat evening we had the dressage and i think we did 10minutes warm up and she was so good the arena was on such a hill it was untrue prob not good for horses which are slightly on their forehand... we did the dressage and felt a nice test probaly a late 20's or early 30's we came out with a 31 which was really good...

i then meet Lucy aka Lec but i have meet her before lol and i also meet Bossnova and we went to walk to xc together while B took photos of the fences for Eventing World wide..

we went down to the Bushy Vets and stabled him and he settled quite quickly and he had a mirror so i think he quite fancied himself lol... it was quite cold but i had like 5 durvets so that was ok lol...

sunday morning...

arrived and mum started getting him ready and i went to have a last look at the xc course that all ok, also went to walk sj course seem smaller whe walked it lol.. went got him studded up and off we went down to the warm up arena.. jumps 3 fences then went in... he jumped lovely he much prefers the bigger ones the 2 fences which were 3 ft 3 he jumped really nice anyway we came out with a clear round... so really pleased got the worst phrase over with i really hate how jumping...

on to xc well what a blast it was choc has only been xc 3 times and practiced once so i was last to go on the xc course and he was awesome... jumped everything i asked and mum said he didnt look to be going very fast so i wasn sure if we made the time up i thought he would off as he felt quite fast... and it turned out i was 20 secs inside the time... so really pleased..

so overall we came 3RD and i am so pleased that he got placed at his first event so i think i pretty good start to the season..

You and your mum must be so chuffed. That horse is so lovely, he is a real gentleman. Really delighted for you! Loved the videos you posted too - I can see what you mean about the dressage being on a slope!
