I just watched this film the other day and ended up crying the whole way through! I was wondering if anyone has seen it, and what they think of it? Does anyone know if it's a true story?

I dont think its a true story, but I know its a tear jerker. I watched it last week!! I think its actually the music that starts me off!!!

I was in tears pretty much the whole way through haha, seeing the fox get battered at the start, my Lord couldn't cope with that. That and the hunstman's face when his hounds get hit by the train, possibly the two most tragic things ever, i'm thinking maybe worse than Titanic? Which I also couldn't cope with :P

Love the book and the film, when it came out ?how many years ago my parents took me to see it as a treat, Mum and I howled all the way out of the cinema. Daughters have now read my old battered copy of the book and cried too

It was a wonderful film, was entranced by it.

Does anyone remember a film called "The Horsemasters" I was taken to see it by my parents a million years ago, another hunting movie (those were the days). My recollections are very vague - Anyone???

i watched the film last year after it was recommended to me. it was a very sad film the saddest bit the hounds being it by the train. however it didn't make me cry yet my boss said she was in tears.

didn't know it was a book aswell, i will know have to get a copy to read

Write the theme toon! LOL I have it on VHS! Fab film is it on DVD?

Funny enough we nearly called our Stud the Belstone Stud! Wish we had now.

I also have an original cinema poster of the film. x

My old boss was an extra on the Belstone Fox,it was filmed in Somerset and he can be seen jumping a fallen tree on his grey mare Melissa. The tree was in the same place for many years and it was HUMUNGOUS
