Ben Fogles Animal Clinic

Heartbreaking :( I was absolutely howling watching it. What a lovely horse & such a sad outcome. I think the owner was very brave- I wouldn't have been able to hold it together as she did. She did the best thing for him as did the vets who do a wonderful job.

Touched a nerve that horse with the colon torsion.

My mare had colon torsion (180 degrees) and goes to show how lucky she was that she made it and is happily out competing again with her now new owners.

can i personaly thank each and everyone of you for your kind and lovely comments! Lad was my world and it broke my heart saying goodbye to him, and something i dont think will ever leave me, i really would have done anything to have saved him, he was such an amazing person inside and out, just a week before i lost him he'd won all his classes and stood champion for the second year on a run at cheshire county, to which half an hour before his class he had been galloping round the main ring full of the joys of life parading hounds! he sure left some huge boots to fill and one very heartbroken Amy, but i am already looking forward to seeing him waiting for me on the otherside of the rainbow, and i keep a lock of his mane weather i am showing or hunting in my pocket so he can keep me safe.
*sleep tight lad, and carry on chasing houndies* xxxxxx

God bless you, Amy.
You did what was best and now i'm welling up again. Beautiful boy.
:( xxxx

So sorry for your loss Amy, you post made me cry all over again. You did everything you could for him, RIP to your lovely boy.

I didn't comment earlier as I didn't know what to say. It could happen to any of us and I was in bits too. You are very brave to allow your grief to be shown Amy. Best wishes.

Amy, watching the program I cried for you and for your lovely horse. I hope time heals and you will remember just the good bits and what a special beautiful horse he was. X
