Ben Maher Wins on new ride

Ben Maher just won a 1.50 class on his relatively new ride Wonderboy in Zurich. He gave the horse a smashing ride. And i know there is a faction on here who dont have a good word to say about him but he couldnt have been nicer the last couple of days and has ridden beautifully as usual.

Much as I think his personal life is a joke and probably wouldn't get on that well with him as a person, I LOVE watching him ride. I think he is a fabulous horseman and its nice to see he has a new top ride in the making

Why have to ruin the complement on his riding, with even mentioning what a 'joke' you find his personal life to be!

Whatever anyone think of Ben personally, no one can take it away from him when it comes to getting the best from his horses and I do not think that people need to deter from the fact that he is one of Britains greats in his sport and has shown the way forward for the younger generation in this country. Wonderboy is a big, beautiful horse who has been beautifully produced and is it is a pleasure to see him going so well with Ben. Well done to Georgie who produced him so well and was devastated when he was sold but can now watch proudly knowing she has produced another great horse!

Georgie is a rare talent herself...i'm sure her time will come in the big league

My point was that no matter what I think of him as a person it doesn't detract from the fact I think he is a fantastic rider.

Most definately. I think that the best is yet to come from Georgie...

As for Bens win.. good on him and you cant deter from the fact that he is a class rider best of luck to him - he has some nice up and coming horses x
