Bend- help please!

Same with me, I find two sets of spirals down to about 12m (all we can handle so far without falling over) helps us and he usually pick up the correct lead the second time I ask. I also usually work him in canter on his weak rein first so he isn't anticipating it and doesn't rush/run into it after cantering on his stronger rein for a bit :)

we used to do an exercise at college where a jump wing would be place somewhere and we had to use it as a corner and strike off in canter as we bent round it if that makes sense? perhaps that may help?

Try thinking more about the bend in the horses body and work on that to start with try not to get to hung up on the bend in the neck, this will come when the bend in the body is correct.

You can have the 'correct bend' in the neck and still have the wrong bend and balance in the body and end up on the incorrect canter lead.

Try a 15 minute circle and on coming back to the track shoulder in and then canter.
Think about controling the shoulders.

You should be directing with your reins and steering with your legs.
