Hi
My knees have been killing me after hunting this season (old rugby injuries!) I've been told to get bendy stirrup irons! I also would like cheese graters on them!

Has anyone else tried these and did they help?

Sprengers have been recommended but seem very expensive! Which ones have people got?

Thanks

Having had knee and ankle surgery I was advised to try 'bendy' stirrups. They certainly helped and having used various makes I have found Sprenger to be the best and are worth the extra money.

I have the sprenger bow balance ones they definatly make a difference .
The only down side is they are a bit harder to get back if lose one .

I think mine are rhinegold ones and were about twenty quid. Was going to splash out on a pair nearer £100 but decided to try the cheaper ones first and what a difference!

No longer do my ankles, knees or hips ache after ten mins riding! I have an auto immune disease which causes me severe pain in my muscles and joints, so to find a solution I was over the moon, as no matter how sick I get I dont want to have to give up what I love doing because of pain!

Would highly recommend them!

After breaking my ankle and requiring surgery when i started to jump again i changed to the shock absorbant flexi stirrups. Helped loads and really felt a difference. These aren't expensive either

Just to add - I used to lose my stirrups Constantly as with the pain I find it difficult to keep my heels down enough, and not once have I ever lost them with my flexi ones!
