Bent iron stirrup treads

Hi,
silly question but can you
use fillis stirrup treads with bent leg
stirrups or do you need to use the straight
ridged treads?
Hope this makes sense!

I've not used fillis treads but we do use the cheese grater treads which is basically the same thing but metal. You do need to tap them into place with a hammer - but they work fine. I would expect the rubber ones to pop out though.

The rubber ones are ok if you just want to potter about, but if you do much more they do pop out as will slide
