Bent velvet helmet silk?

Do any of you very clever people have a good way to straighten a bent peak? After it living in the bottom of my hat bag for a while I took it out and to my horror it was very bent and it wont seem to straighten out by just bending it the other way? Is that the only way I could do it? Or is there a better way to do it?

Lol, how about putting it under something heavy somewhere warm (under books in boiler cupboard etc.)

Hairdryer? Would that give enough heat to bend and fix it?
