Benzyl Benzoate

I have been finding it increasingly difficult to source benzyl benzoate for our jumping mare who whilst not bad would like a little scratch.

Any suggestions where to get it?

Their fly products are fantastic too. I've just started using Shoo Fly instead of Tritec, and its just as good!

I bought my last lot from an independent chemist. When I asked for it the assistant stepped back & looked at me in a very strange way. The pharmacist came round & told her "He's not got scabies.... you've got a horse haven't you?" to which I replied yes. I got the stuff without any problem.

You can buy it online from vaious places & also from ebay sellers.

The product Ascabiol is benzyl benzoate. You can still get that but it's very expensive. I buy benzyl benzoate from Hyperdrug online.

This is the proper stuff, not watered down and mixed in with other ingredients like it is in sweet itch lotions. I use it on my mare and it lasts for ages.. although it is a bit smelly!
